CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATS’ DILEMMA

Updated: Sep 23

Checkboxes: Lie and Truth

When the truth offends, it’s doing its job. This is written for Christians who still call themselves Democrats.

The Great Commission wasn’t about pointing out who Satan is — it was about proclaiming Jesus Christ. Yet what I see from Democrats is not leadership, but hatred. For ten years they dragged Trump through the mud, cheered when he was mocked, and now wonder why their party feels lifeless.

Christians, we know hatred is murder in God’s eyes. (1 John 3:15) And yet Democrats reveled in humiliating a man who kept standing back up. In 2024, 81 million people voted for him — not because of the media, but in spite of it.

Here’s the problem: Democratic positions today do not align with Scripture.

  • Abortion — God knew us before we were born. (Jeremiah 1:5)

  • Gender issues — He made male and female, not endless categories. (Genesis 1:27)

  • Work — If you can work, you should. That’s dignity. (Thessalonians 3:10-12)

  • Borders — Order matters. Mass illegal immigration is not compassion, it’s exploitation.(Deuteronomy 19 and 32, Acts 17, Proverbs 23)

None of this is about Trump being “nice.” God often used people who weren’t. What matters is whether policies reflect biblical truth — and I see that happening now, while Democrats push the opposite.

To be crystal clear, I do not despise people who are Democrats. I do object to the acceptable practices by them, and when I use the term 'Democrat', it's to those practices I am referring.

Herein is the Christian Democrats' dilemma. Christian Democrats, you need to decide: will you stand with a party whose platform defies God’s Word, or with Christ? The truth isn’t always comfortable, but it sets us free.
