“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” – Romans 1:26–27 (NIV)
Christianity and Homosexuality are in moral opposition.
Reflection
From the beginning, God designed man and woman to complement one another and to bring forth life. His design was not random—it was intentional, wise, and good.
Yet Paul reminds us in Romans that when people reject God’s truth, they turn to their own ways. Our culture often celebrates choices outside of God’s plan, even calling them freedom or love. But God’s Word does not change with time or opinion. What He calls sin remains sin.
At the same time, Scripture calls us to respond not with hate or self-righteousness, but with love. Jesus commanded us to love even those with whom we disagree. Sin takes many forms, and all of us stand in need of God’s mercy. The same grace that saves us is the grace extended to anyone who will turn to Him.
God’s design is always best. When we walk in His ways, we discover life, peace, and blessing. When we turn away, we lose that.
To be perfectly clear. I possess no ill will for these people. I do believe the choices they have made are within their will, and not the will of God.
