LEGACY MEDIA IS REPULSED BY CHRISTIANITY

I am both saddened and angry over the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the most superb example of a Christian I have ever known. Yet coverage of his death proves once again how deeply the legacy media is repulsed by Christianity. They could not even bring themselves to use the word Christian in describing him.
It’s as if newsrooms recoil from that word the way vampires recoil from a cross in old movies. The moment Christianity, God, or Scripture is mentioned, they shrink back. That is exactly what we are seeing in the headlines today.
How the Media Described Him
MSNBC – Within moments of Charlie being shot, reporter Matthew Dowd claimed Charlie “spoke hate” and “deserved what he got.” MSNBC let this smear stand until backlash (likely from advertisers) forced them to act.
The New York Times – Reduced him to a “conservative activist.” Charlie was a Christian first — loving God, family, and country, while challenging young minds with biblical truth. To call him anything less is belittling.
ABC News – Labeled him a “right-wing influencer,” as though his work was no different than someone paid to promote products online. That was not Charlie’s life or calling.
CBS News – Followed The New York Times and called him simply a “conservative activist,” omitting entirely that he lived as a Christian first.
Associated Press – Dismissed him as a “teenage conservative campus activist.” But when Charlie spoke, he brought the Word of God to all people, not just students.
NBC – Referred to him as a “conservative commentator,” as if he were no more than a sports announcer.
What They Refuse to Acknowledge
Charlie Kirk may have dropped out of college, but he majored in Christianity and minored in politics. He gained a platform as a young man not because of slick marketing or soundbites but because he preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He dissected false narratives, applied Scripture, and always — always — pointed people back to the Bible.
Just as you cannot capture light by putting it in a box, you cannot define Charlie Kirk without the word Christian. To omit it is dishonest and degrading.
How Charlie Wanted to Be Remembered
Before his death, Charlie was asked how he wanted to be remembered. His answer was simple: as a Christian. Not as an activist. Not as an influencer. Not as a commentator. A Christian.
If the media cannot bring themselves to honor him with that word, then we must. Charlie Kirk was a Christian first — and this is how he should be remembered.
