WATCH FOR MEDIA SLANT
Legacy Media, in my opinion, is to blame for the constant unrest in America today. They slant their stories to stir upheaval, fear, and division—because that’s what keeps them on the air and in print. Straight reporting doesn’t sell anymore, so they sensationalize. This is what I mean by media slant. They slant stories to gain viewer or readership. (I'll be discussing this further in future blog posts.)
They also know most people are too busy to read more than a headline. So they write headlines to hook you, even if they’re misleading, knowing you’ll repeat them throughout your day. You read or hear, “Trump slashes Medicaid,” and you immediately picture a cold, heartless man trying to harm the poor. But you don’t hear the rest: that he cut waste, fraud, and abuse, and kept benefits available for Americans who truly needed them. You believed the lie because that’s all you had time to read.
Some stories are worse than misleading—they’re fabricated to cast doubt and stir anger. The New York Times, for example, reported that Pete Hegseth’s management at the Pentagon was “strained” due to infighting and personnel churn. That wording alone was designed to make readers think Hegseth was incompetent, without offering proof of his actual abilities or responsibilities. The goal wasn’t truth—it was outrage. And the media does this over and over, because if they can keep you riled up, you’ll keep tuning in.
The truth is, they’ve figured out how to cash in. Advertising dollars flow when the audience is hooked, and sensationalism is the bait. They use half-truths, sound bites, assumptions, and spin. And it works—at the cost of tearing this country apart. Sadly, the Democrat Party feeds them these narratives. Then they write the "news."
Remember how Trump used the term “Fake News” back in 2016? Many of us rolled our eyes, thinking he was just complaining about criticism. But now, years later, we see that much of it really was fake—Russia hoaxes, endless lawsuits, false charges. The media propped up lies, and many of the accusers themselves should have been held accountable. Fake news wasn’t just a phrase. It was a reality, and it still is.
But let’s go deeper. God’s Word is clear: lying is detestable, and Satan is the father of lies. Revelation 21:8 says all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. And 2 Thessalonians 2:12 warns that believing a lie can cost men their souls. This isn’t just about politics—it’s about eternity.
Personally, I cannot reconcile a today-Democrat’s worldview with God’s Word. And if it’s not of God, then it’s of someone else. That’s the truth as I see it. Just something to think about until next time.
I want to be crystal clear. I do not despise people who are Democrats. I do object to the acceptable practices by them, and when I use the term 'Democrat", it's to those practices I am referring.
Thank you for reading! This blog exists to bring biblical clarity to the stories shaping our world. If you’ve been encouraged, share this post with someone who needs truth and hope today. Together, let’s stand firm in Christ—where faith meets the front page. These are my thoughts. What are yours?
